I cannot stress enough how important it is to write a good profile and complete your list of interests. Host are more likely to want you to stay and with your list of interests complete you’ll be able to quickly and easily search the properties most suited to you! How good is that? What’s more, by joining a few Groups you’ll find like-minded people and properties for you to stay at.

Step 1: Add a nice happy photo of yourself so Hosts know who to expect!
You are 4 x more likely to get a response from prospective Hosts or fellow Guests with a clear picture so we can see how wonderful you are

Step 2: ‘Tag’ your Interests – Not only does this help you to easily find suitable properties but it also gives Hosts a better understanding of what makes you tick

Step 3: Tell us about yourself – be friendly and interesting in your bio and say a little bit about what you hope to get from the site, where you’ve traveled, interesting facts… that kind of thing, nothing fancy

Step 4: Maybe add a link to your blog or Facebook – it’ll help Hosts get a better idea of who you are

Now you can add properties you like to ‘Favorites’, join ‘Groups’ to meet other like-minded members, contact Hosts, write on peoples walls, and email your new found chums (if you don’t have any, invite your own friends to join the site (in ‘My Account’ you’ll find a button that says ‘Invite Friends to Join’ which to send them an email).  Your profile will also be more appealing if you have interests, have joined Groups or if we can see your friends etc – it makes you human!
